FAQs
Do I need a coding agent?
Yes, today: aplyx drives whichever you already have installed. Full capability, including browser-automated applies, with opencode or Claude Code. Codex CLI and GitHub Copilot CLI work too, on a smaller path: API-fed boards only, with browser-only applications routed to your review queue instead.
Is my data private?
Locally, yes: your profile, resumes, and application history stay on your machine unless you opt into Discord updates or a Google Sheets sync, both off by default. See the Privacy page for the specifics.
Will it apply to jobs without me knowing?
No. Anything uncertain, or anything that needs browser automation your setup can't do unattended, lands in a review queue instead of going out. Nothing is submitted without a decision you control.
What platforms does it run on?
macOS, Linux, and Windows: as a terminal app for a fast, keyboard-first workflow, or a native desktop app for the same thing visually. Same core either way.
